Indira Gandhi International Airport: India’s busiest airport bar none!

Indira Gandhi International Airport saw almost 66 million passengers use its facilities last year, close to 14% more than 2016-2017. Indira Gandhi International Airport is just under 10 miles southwest from the centre of New Delhi. The airport entrance is off NH48, then follow Terminal 1 road, the Terminal 2B Road or the Northern Access Road (for Terminal 3).

The Orange Delhi Airport Metro Express line runs from the New Delhi metro station to the airport (for terminals 2 and 3) at a frequency of 10 to 15 minutes (travel time around 19 minutes). The first trains leave New Delhi station at 4.45am and the last train from the city centre is at 11.30pm. The Magenta line serves the domestic flights terminal.

Palam and Shahabad Mohammadpur are the two closest railway stations.
