Jacksonville International Airport: fly from North Florida to the rest of the world

Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) currently serves over 30 domestic and one international route (to Toronto). This airport saw nearly 2.8 million passenger boardings in 2017, making it Florida’s seventh busiest airport. By far the most popular domestic route is to Atlanta, GA. This route also connects into frequent Delta Airlines and Air France flights to Paris and the rest of this airline’s extensive global network, which includes numerous destinations in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Charlotte, New York-JFK, Dallas/Fort Worth and Baltimore are just some of JAX’s busier routes. The single terminal is divided into two concourses, A and C. The two concourses have 10 gates each.

Jacksonville International Airport is located to the north of the city, a 15 to 30-minute drive from downtown via I-95N (exit 363B). Drop-offs are easy from the hourly garage beside the terminal. Alternatively, use the daily garage, the daily surface lot (both walkable to the airport) or the two economy lots (with free shuttle to the terminal).

JTA’s routes 5 and 1A combine to take you to the airport in a little under an hour from downtown, seven days a week. Authorized TNCs are Lyft, Rasier-DC and Uber. Drivers will drop passengers off at the Upper Departure Curb.
